From Summer to Fall

A few nights ago, it got as low as 31 degrees.

Yep. Below freezing.

Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not really ok with that. Thankfully, it's otherwise been in the 50s.

Whatever. Summer is officially over. But it was a good summer so I'm ok with that. Being pregnant and super uncomfortable and then having the boys earlier than expected, there really wasn't much done in the way of excursions, but we kept busy. Ok, we kept Keira busy. And hey, that's what was important.

And now it's time to get ready for chilly temperatures. The coats and hats are coming out. Some thicker than others. Last years snow clothes still fit. In fact, they fit better than they did last year. I love that.

Know why? Because last week reaffirmed my hatred of shopping. Toddler slippers are apparently my Archenemy. Yep, with a capital A. It took going to 4 stores to find these cute little fuzzy foot covers.

And one of my favorite things about colder weather? Our pellet stove kicks on. I seriously love our stove. It blows nice toasty warm air and is so cozy. There is nothing like snuggling under a blanket in front of it.

30 degree nights? I've got plenty of pellets and loads of coffee. I'm ready.
