Christmas lights, a pellet stove and rum.

You know it's been a while since you blogged when you have to go back and see what the last post was about. This post is really going to be all over the place. Pretty much what I've been like lately anyway.I've been getting ready for Christmas (well, trying anyway), cleaning, cooking, doing paperwork, archiving, planning, researching. Between Keira and everything else, ppfffttt, it's amazing I haven't boycotted, locked my doors and turned my house into a tropical refuge. And I've got the Christmas lights, pellet stove and rum to do it.

Check back with me next week after I attempt to upgrade my phone. If you hear Jimmy Buffett....

In the last few days, we've been to Grandma's house, where Keira learned how to fake cough. Thanks again.

Great-Grandma knitted Keira some new legwarmers because as you can see, the ones she has don't stay up too well. I've also started another knitting project. Because I apparently don't have enough to do. I don't know why but it's soothing.

It rained the other day. It was so nice of the city to repave our street. You know, since it hadn't been done since, um, the 60's. But I'm pretty sure we didn't request the pool. Must have been the neighbors.

I made another dry erase board. This one replaced the regular one we had in the kitchen.

I finally got my tree up. Still haven't decorated it though. I put the hat on top, that's about it. I was having an off day either last year or the year before (can't remember) and in my annoyance, I shoved the hat on the top of the tree. Well it turned out, I really like it. It adds a bit of whimsy to the decor. If only I had the ambition to put the ornaments on as well. Maybe by Christmas Eve. If not, I might have Doug do it. Or not.

I think I'm going to need more baggies. That's what I've been using since my tupperware seems to be continually spread out all over the floor.
